I do think some of the plotting was a bit weird, this review is over the top though.. mostly what got me was the romance part between Gabrielle and the scientist, that didn't make any sense at all and like you say the difficult language! Disappointed because i really wanted to enjoy it, i felt that the author had no idea how to explain the girl's predictive powers but the ending left me asking well was she mad? did she have special powers? were they religious ones? Even past my fifties I still have a desire to write but as time went on always felt it was too late. This book helped me to realise that I should have started YEARS ago but that its still NOT too late! I have to say I loved the easy laid-back conversational and personal approach, it was easy to follow as I struggle with huge books full of instructtions. I also thought the writing short story exercices in this handy booklet were excellent. I am well into working on one of the prompts given. Thank you I look forward to getting th rest of them . I have been intrigued over time by the case of the German cannibal and have often thought of writing a novel about it, but it is all still very much up in the air. As hard, demanding and draining as writing can be, I love it so much that I never see it as a burden or a drag and I am one of those lucky people who gets up in the morning looking forward to a writing day ahead.
