The Distant Hours by Kate Morton
Another cracking tale from best-selling author Kate Morton's latest fiction novel 'The Distant Hours.'
This story has a gothic feel due it's setting within Milderhurst castle. The tale is weaved through various timeframes which if not done well, can easily confuse a reader. Kate however, seamlessly seems to pull all the various threads together in what appears to be an effortless manner.
Apart from a nostalgic and beautiful resemblance to 'period' writing, the story is atmospheric and unfolds masterfully to reveal tragedy, skillful plot twists and hidden secrets.
The Distant Hours is one of those books you'll curl up with, savour, and remember long after you've read the final page.
